Our unique event venue is spacious enough to accommodate large groups, yet offers the ultimate in privacy for your celebration. Plan a very special family reunion by reserving our entire event facility for a weekend. Brides, consider reserving the Grogan House for your rehearsal dinner, or to just spend some special time with family and friends before your big day. Our other lodging facilities are ideal for your out-of-town guests. Make your next off-site meeting memorable! Our staff will provide you with personalized attention in a relaxed atmosphere. We invite you to call for a private tour of our event facility and see for yourself why the Paicines Ranch is the ideal location for your wedding, reception, reunion, company picnic, or group meeting.

You will enjoy the relaxing, scenic drive to the ranch, located just south of Hollister and only minutes away from many bay area and coastal attractions. Golfers have three golf courses to choose from within a 15 minute drive. Shop for antiques in the quaint mission town of San Juan Bautista, or power-shop the Outlets in Gilroy. Visit the Monterey Peninsula or head north to Santa Cruz …both within an hour’s drive away. Our entrance is also conveniently situated at the gateway to San Benito County’s Wine Trail.

Plan to stay in one of our lodging facilities, and at the end of the day relax while you watch the sunset and sip some of your newly discovered favorite wine. Listen to the nightly serenade presented by resident birds and wildlife. Birders can enjoy a very satisfying pre-dawn breakfast in our community kitchen. Make Paicines Ranch your home base as you explore nearby birding locales or the other must-see sights of the central coast.

 

 

Our Facilities and Lodging

 

Paicines Ranch offers a variety of outdoor group and lodging facilities to meet your every need. We have an indoor meeting facility to accommodate a group of 20—perfect for that corporate off-site meeting, retreat, or workshop. Our shared lodging suites can each accommodate from three to six persons. All of our indoor facilities are non-smoking.

Rental of our outdoor group facilities include use of the Grogan Lawn for your special ceremony. This very spacious, park-like setting is bordered by a Mediterranean garden and surrounded by stunning views that go on forever. Your guests will appreciate the ample, nearby parking, and you will be able to better manage your budget by choosing your own caterer and sourcing your own beverages. Tables and chairs are included, and will be set up according to your request.

 

Our Outdoor Group Facilities Include

 

The Terrace

An intimate setting surrounded by a rose-scented garden and striking views of the valley floor…this is the perfect spot to entertain groups of up to 100.

 

The Guest Lawn

An inviting tree-lined area with plenty of room to roam. Consider the Guest Lawn as your venue for larger groups of up to 200.

Optional use of the Grogan Lawn for your special ceremony is included when reserving either of these facilities. Sole use of the facility during your rental period insures your group’s privacy. We help you stay within budget by allowing you to select a caterer of your own choice and to source your own alcoholic beverages. Use of amplified music is permitted, and there is no set time when music must end. Tables and chairs will be set up per your request. Consultation with the Event Manager to discuss set-up options is recommended.

Lodging and Meeting Facilities

 

The Grogan House

Whether you are planning an off-site workshop for your company, a dinner party or just looking for a quiet place to spend the night, this outstanding facility offers a variety of options and uses to suit your need. Reserve the entire facility, or any one of the following suites.

 

The Lodging Suite consists of a three bedroom/two bath combination, the Living and Dining Rooms, and the Butler Pantry complete with refrigerator and ice maker.


The Conference Room Suite accommodates a group of 20 and includes a meeting room, use of the Living and Dining rooms and the Butler Pantry. We offer wireless internet connection capability and presentation equipment.

 

Sometimes you just need a big kitchen! Our Kitchen Facility boasts a large, reach-in refrigerator, a Thermador Pro-Range with six burners and lots of prep space. Our kitchen is not certified for commercial use.

The Rose Cottage

Make this your home away from home! This lovely cottage has three bedrooms, shared bath, living room, dining room, full kitchen and laundry room. The private front yard has plenty of lawn space for relaxing or playing.

 

The Cheesehouse

Tucked away amid the oaks, this cozy dwelling offers peace and quiet along with some majestic views. Three bedrooms, shared bath, and a central sitting area await you in this, our most secluded facility.

Guest Cottage

This quaint little cottage has two private units each containing its own bedroom/bathroom. One unit has an additional lock-off bedroom. Please inquire as to availability for lodging.

Group and off-season discount: A 10% discount will be applied when all three facilities are reserved and paid for at the same time and for reservations made during off-season (November-April). Reservations are guaranteed upon receipt of full accommodation fee. Full refund if cancellation notification is received 72 hours prior to reservation date.

Directions

We are located approximately 60 miles south of San Jose, and approximately 30 miles inland from the coast. We are centrally located near many popular Central Coast attractions. Please call for easy directions to the Ranch.
